The research interest of Homayon Ghiasi, PhD, concerns viral pathogenesis and immunology of herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) infection. The specific areas of studies are the role of HSV-1 in herpes induced corneal scarring, vaccine development against ocular HSV-1 infection, and the role of viral infection and cytokines in CNS demyelination.

Many of the physicians who have medical staff privileges to practice medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center are independent physicians, and not employees or agents of the hospital. These independent physicians bill separately for their services. You should contact your physician to determine their status and billing practices.
