Assistant Professor, Biomedical Sciences

Associate Director, Center for Bioinformatics and Functional Genomics

Simon Knott, PhD, combines computational biology and functional genomics to elucidate the molecular mechanisms that drive cancer progression. Work in his laboratory is focused on three main areas: heterogeneity in cancer cell populations and how it impacts disease outcome, hetero-cellular interactions that allow cancer cells to manipulate the tumor microenvironment to evade therapy, and the development of novel computational and molecular tools to study disease progression.

Many of the physicians who have medical staff privileges to practice medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center are independent physicians, and not employees or agents of the hospital. These independent physicians bill separately for their services. You should contact your physician to determine their status and billing practices.
