The research of Lali Medina-Kauwe, PhD, focuses on using the cell penetration functions of pathogen proteins to develop novel cell-targeted nanotherapeutics. Medina-Kauwe is studying protein-host cell interactions, including endocytic routing, to direct the design of our nanoparticles for improved therapy. She is also currently testing these particles for cancer targeting and treatment.

Many of the physicians who have medical staff privileges to practice medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center are independent physicians, and not employees or agents of the hospital. These independent physicians bill separately for their services. You should contact your physician to determine their status and billing practices.
